We are officially under a Tornado Watch and the temperature has dropped 20 degrees in 30 minutes from 73 to 53.....Spring storm season has officially arrived in Oklahoma!
It looks like it will all just miss us, as we have squally thunderstorms right now but they are rapidly forming supercells as they head east.
But we have done as the weatherman said and discussed our family tornado plan:
Me "what's our family tornado plan"
Hubby "lol"
Me "grab a cat each and head for the storm cellar"
We are well prepared, have no fear!

"THANK YOU" for stopping by again. I'm sorry I haven't been by sooner, but I will add you to my blogroll as well so I can visit you on a regular basis. My DH comes thru Oklahoma every week. When they go to Salt Lake City, UT, they have to go down to North Las Vegas, NV, and then they come home and stay all night. Now that is how it is unless they run into some Winter Weather out in Wyoming and they have to shut down. That has happened to them before. They go into Arizona and take Interstate 40 and come home and then they leave out again Wednesday at noon and go up North. They are back home again on Friday for the weekend. I sure hope yall don't get any bad weather. I just hate Tornado Season. We used to have a storm cellar at the house we lost, but we don't have one here where we live at now or where we will be moving. I know I am already missing it as last month they sounded the Tornado sirens here one night when it was bad. This was when parts of Arkansas got hit hard by the Tornado back in February. If you don't mind me asking, what part of Oklahoma do you live in? I have been thru Oklahoma before when I would go out with my DH. We stayed at a real nice Truck Stop there last year. I don't go with him now because he and his Uncle are Team drivers again. It is 73 degrees here right now and I went outside a bit ago and I noticed some clouds moving in. It is real windy as well. I read your previous post about today(Sunday) being Mother's Day in Britain. "HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY" to your Mum and you as well. Since you have Step-Children you are a Mom as well. I didn't realize that Mother's Day was celebrated in a different month than here in the United States. I have another friend that lives in Britain and she told me the other day about it being Mother's Day there today(Sunday). Take care my friend and have a great evening. May God Bless You and Yours. OK...just the other day I heard that England had an earthquake...I did not know they have these...the news reporter said every thirty years or so and this one was on time...
So where natural disaster are concerned...does England get tornado's??

Hi Karen, Thanks for stopping by and adding me to your blogroll. We are up in far north west OK, about 50 miles east of the Texas border at Higgins and 25 miles west of Woodward. It looks like these storms are going to miss Arkansas this time as they are headed more NE. When I moved here from the UK my only stipulation on the house was it had to have a storm cellar. At first I was paranoid and always ran around packing, after 2 years I am much more laid back!
Tammy, when Fujitsu developed his scale he announced that the UK had the best geographical location in the world for tornado's. In fact the UK has more per square mile than tornado alley here. But the difference is in size and usually they strike in open country. However last year one hit 2 streets in London and caused quite alot of damage. Plus they have the perfect weather conditions, there is always humidity and now the days get hotter and it cools fast at darkness. Amazingly there are no tracking or warning systems or shelters at all!
Thanks for that info...I had just never heard if they did happen and wondered.
