Nature at her finest....

Since Wednesday night we have been getting visits from a variety of Hummingbirds at our feeder, but this was the first opportunity I had to capture this wonderful and for me, still awe inspiring sight :-)

Great pics! They are amazing little birds aren't they? The first time I saw them, I was visiting friends in Vermont. I had no idea hummingbirds lived that far north.

How cool you caught one on camera! I need a hummingbird feeder.

I read somewhere that their wings rotate in circles, so that they can fly forward, backwards, up or down or just hover. They're so cool!

Great pics! Our hummers haven't returned to Ohio as yet. My feeder is hung, ready and waiting. The azaleas have to be flowering before they arrive. It seems that won't happen be for another two weeks.

I've got a new hummingbird feeder out this year, but so far, I haven't seen any little birds at it yet. I have SUCH a hard time getting photos of hummingbirds; they are so skittish and fly away so fast. These are wonderful shots, Sarah!

Now I'm wanting to go fill up a feeder, but last year we did not have a single one to show up...pout!!

Hope you are having an awesome Sunday! ☼

Fab pics!
We put in plants with hummingbirds, bees and butterflies in mind. Agastache, buddleia, hollyhocks, lavender, Russian sage, all that type to bring them in. I love the male hummingbirds acting like typical males over territory. Better than TV.

Hi Tom, thanks for returning the compliment. LOL @ the real ale! But actually it's just Hummingbird mix.

I am going to move the feeder a foot or so in front of the unscreened bay window today, as these shots were taken through the side window with the screen.
