28 days and counting.....

Since the moment it was announced they had finally agreed terms, this is the movie I have been most anticipating for literally years. And now I only have 28 days to wait - the Hubster has already agreed to drive me 2 hours (4hr round trip!) to see it the opening weekend, if our local smalltown cinema doesn't have it on May 30th!

Sex and the City is by far and away my all time fave TV show, I own all 6 series and have rewatched them all in the past 6 months ready for the movie. This also gave the Hubster a chance to see them, as he didn't have HBO originally and I think even he might admit he has also became a closet fan of the show.

Yesterday the movie was featured on Oprah with the cast as guests and the first clip they showed actually made me tear up, so I'm in big trouble and will need kleenex! LOL

Hi Sarah,

Thanks for dropping by my blog! Nice to meet you!

I too am an ex-Pat Brit - we immigrated when I was small, but I went back to live "at home" during the 90's. Glad you found a less-stressy life in Okie!

Enjoy the movie!

I have to admit I've never seen this show. We used to have cable in California, but were too tight (mean, for US readers) to pay for HBO. :-)

When we moved here we decided we disliked American TV so much, (the programs are largely rubbish and all the commercials drive us nuts) that we wouldn't bother with it.

We now have 2 channels, and the only progs I enjoy on them are Dexter, and Nightline.

If they ever got commercial free BBC here I would willingly pay $50 a month for that channel alone.

That last episode......I cried and cried. You'll have to tell me what happens because my sweety wouldn't go with me for all the tea in China.

Snippety - damn girl I'd be withholding marital rights if the Hubster didn't go with me...put that Manolo Blahnik heel down and pull him into line!

Don't tell me you've never sat through a movie he wanted to see, that you weren't fussed about?

oh i used to love S&TC too! It reminds me wayyyyyy too much of my two girlfriends i used to run around with -- one busty blonde, one with short red hair and me, the brunette, some of those episodes should be a blog story one day .... i'll probably wait for the movie to come to pay-per-view though. the only movies i get the hoobie out to are james bond movies. go figure!

Hi Veronica, thank you for your thoughts but I am up in the far NW corner by the panhandle (for future reference) and this was all in the central and eastern area's.

At least we will all be able to discuss the movie online after the big event :-)
