Brit' Word of the Day....

Today's BWOTD is a popular phrase in London and the Home Counties especially:

"Oh that's sweet as a nut mate"

'Sweet as a nut' = nice, simple or no problem

In my experience London Cab drivers are particularly fond of using this line, but it's in daily use all over the place. So if anyone ever says this to you, they are not making any reference to eating or nuts!

Ahhhh....I have finally been able to take the proper time to catch up on your blog! I've missed it, but school has been killing me, seriously. I love it as much as ever! Hope summer is treating you well!

I just wanted to stop in and say "hello". As a fellow expat in the US (Michigan) I've been enjoying some of these BWOTD posts, you've made me laugh out loud a few times, and I'm surprised at how much I've forgotton in the last 14 years. I've also decided I should stop whining about the bad weather we've been having!! We don't have bad weather compared to you!

Take care.
