Well our vet wanted to keep Bonnie in the hospital as she suspects she might have pneumonia. Poor little Bonnie was not herself at all and did not want to eat or drink, so she is in the best place.
The vet gave her 2 shots to bring down her fever from 104.7 and said we'd done the right thing calling her, it's always good to know you're not just fussing. She wants to observe her eating, drinking and toilet habits and be able to medicate her as needed. Her respiratory rate was also up and if needed they have an oxygen cage they can use.
She doesn't go out so we're never going to know how she got it, if it does prove to be pneumonia. In the meantime we need to watch the other two kitties for any signs of them getting sick too, but as the vet said they have more established immune systems than the baby.
We hated to leave her, but she has her blankie and fave toy with her and all she was doing was sleeping anyway, and she needs to be there. But we miss her already and just feel sad, please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

Poor little baby! She's in the right place for now. Your vet will take good care of her for you.
Oh, Sarah. I am glad you called the vet ... I know sometimes we wonder if we're 'reading into' their actions or inactions ... better to be safe ... poor little Bonnie ..
If its respiratory it might be from the AC ... whatever it is the vet will fix her up.
Keeping her and you in my thoughts.

I'm sorry to hear little puss is sick. It's always awful when you have to leave them with the vet, even though you know they are in the best place. I always feel like I'm deserting them in their hour of need.
Positive thoughts going out for Bonnie. Hope she's back home very soon!
Oh poor wee mite! You did the right thing and she'll be home and right as rain before you know it and up to all sorts of shenanigans.
Hang in there Sarah. We have little Bonnie in our thoughts.

Don't you feel so helpless when a pet is ill. You certainly did the right thing calling the vet quickly. Here's hoping all turns out well.
