Are you the same?

It seems like ever since I got my own blog going and found so many other interesting blogs out there, that's all I read online!

I actually have to think hard to even remember what I spent my time doing on here before blogging. I also never realised there was this huge other world of blogs out there, which are so much more interesting and entertaining to read than just websites.

These days if I am not blogging or reading blogs online, then I will only be looking up information or shopping online. I do occasionally read the British papers or MSN.com headlines, but I am soon back in the far more readable land of blogs.

Of course now many of us also have a new blogging addiction - the LBB (little black box), that takes us to great new blogs willy-nilly.

I think one of the main reasons I enjoy it so much, is you actually get to know the writers personally and in many cases develop friendships or regular readers. You learn from other bloggers, benefit from their advice, life experience and tips. It brings the personal touch into my time online, and for me it also finally lets me fulfil a lifelong ambition to write more.

So do you also spend most of your online time on blogs too?

By the LBB, do you mean something like the "Next Blog" link? If so, I try to use it every few days. And then when I get to the first interesting blog, I make myself leave a comment.

Oh, I'm definitely changed. I'm speaking this weekend in Portland about successful garden blog, and guess what, my blog has been down all week. It's up and limping along now, but . . . .

I would never have made your acquaintance or that of all my other blogging friends, and I would be much the poorer without.~~Dee

I actually work online, at least 75% of the work day, I work for an internet company and as a project coordinator a spend a lot of time playing traffic cop and/or hall monitor ... and when I am waiting on something or someone or even one of our sites to load I blog read .. and/or comment ... I set up my blog so comments are emailed to me -easier to reply to- and I save my blog visits for the afternoons when its quieter or like now as I want for something to print out ... and there it is and off I go!

Sarah, I used to read all manner of news and opinion on various news sites, but now I'm way too busy keeping up with the blogs I like to visit regularly and exploring new ones in my interweb time. I am making friends all over the world which is quite amazing. Like you I also enjoy the opportunity to write more.

I love the blogosphere!

I do spend a lot of time online reading blogs. I also use the Internet to look up everything imagineable, but those are short bursts of time online. A few months ago, I joined Facebook and I've spent a lot of time there since. But blogs (via my Google Reader) are probably the main thing I do read online.

Great question!

I'M BAAAACK...and so happy to be here! I know exactly what you mean, I find I rarely play games other than Scrabble anymore, I love reading what my new friends are up to and love sharing with them. I've missed you Sarah, so glad to be back!

I have definitely changed in the last couple of months. I used to only read gossip/news sites and occassionally shop. But now I just bounce from blog to blog reading. And it's usually at work so I should probably be more careful! ha!

You have a point here, I can't remember what I did online either! Probably spent a lot on Amazon!

Yes, I spend too much time online, but I love the chance to write and I love to read about other people's lives/experiences.

Tis true. Most people may never leave their state, but the internet allows us to get to know people worlds away (or for you, just across the pond) that we would not have been able to relate to otherwise. I am very grateful for the people I read and contribute comments to for their blog. Whether I never set actual eyes on a single soul, I enjoy my fellow bloggers who always have something interesting to share!

I'm always blogging... like now when I should be tackling my to do list or putting away the pile of clothes on my bedroom floor!!

Despite the time I spend blogging I love it.

Absolutely. I am the same as you. I used to read the newspapers and play Scrabble. Now I spend 90% of my time in Blogland. And I absolutely appreciate the friendship that I have developed. Your's included. = )

Me too. for the past three years that's where all of my extra attention goes.

I love the "next blog" link and use it often. I'm better at reading other blogs than leaving comments, and it shows by how many visitors you get versus visitors on my page! Oh yes, reading the blogs can eat up much of my day if I let it too!

I'm sure when my husband serves me with divorce papers, blogging will be the reason cited!
I just did Black box and it led me to you and you're on my list of favourites, so we have even more in common now eh?

I just found your blog today and am so glad I did. I am about to swap spots with you. I am moving from tornado alley to England in November. Nice to "meet" you. I will be back often.

Janet - LBB is that black box with 'Adventurous' above it over on the left there - watch out it's seriously addictive!

Dee - omg not sure what I'd do if my blog went down for a week. I do setup posts ahead but even so!

Daryl - that makes life alot easier having full internet access unpoliced at work. Plus now I know how you can reply personally, before I thought you were just supwerwoman ;-)

Sandi - (BIG WAVE) great to have you back, I missed you too.

CJ - another Amazon addict here!

Victoria - ditto LOL!

Mom/Mum - ditto to that too LOL!

Kat - great to meet you too, let me know if you need any tips, I'll be by to visit.

Everyone - so glad I am not the only one and I am also so lucky to have met you all and expanded my horizons through all your blogs.

I do love blogging and reading other peoples blogs... I like the personal opinion, I like the inside peek at what others are up to, and I like the feeling that for a brief moment someone cares enough to read about my silly little life.

I do a lot of "window shopping" online... I like to think I'm rich and can afford everything. :( haha! other than that, blogs and the news is all I read!

I love blog-hopping - I have added all sorts of complete strangers to my blog list and made new friends. I'm like you - an ex-pat living abroad (in my case we moved from England to Wales). At least we don't have any big black snakes and if we do, no eejut has decided to attach one to anything in my vicinity. Thank God!

I started blogging because it was fun. Like a diary only I could put pictures in it. I never really used a diary for my private personal thoughts, I was always afraid someone would find it and read it.

Then I started reading other peoples blogs. Just ones on WW. Then I started looking at blogs they were reading, now I have a whole list of blogs. When I go online, I check my e-mail accounts. Then I post on my blog, then I check out what others are saying.

I used the black box once, the second blog it took me to was about vibrators so I have been afraid to use it again.

I am so thrilled with all the wonderful people I have met in "blogworld". I too spent a lot of time on the net. Researching, shopping, writing and reading. Couldn't live without blogging and the friends I have made while doing it.
