....by one of our cutest 5 yr old Kindergartners, who made me this colourful picture for my office.
Apparently his teacher noticed him working away quietly and asked him what he was making.
He replied: "I'm making Ms. Sarah a Jeep, because she looked after my neck for me when it hurt".
It surprised us both, as he did have a very sore stiff neck and I kept putting ice-packs on it for him over two days. But that was 3 months ago and he made me my Jeep this past week, how adorable is that?!
It now has pride of place on the wall behind my desk.

Cutest thing I've seen in a long while and don't you just love surprise gifts from the heart! They mean more than all the jewels in the world. (Well, maybe not ALL of them)
Clever kid!
Isn't it amazing how thoughtful little kids can be?! This is just precious! His parents must be raising him right : )
Adorable ..at first I thought it was a dog with odd legs ... you've a new beau!
So cute! That is a sweet story.
These kind of gifts are the best! Also, it just goes to show that children are influenced more by what we do than what we say.
Thanks for sharing.
I redid my post, sorry about the delete.
Yogi you are so right about the influence we have on them, he amazed us remembering it so much later.
Daryl at first I thought it was a sheep and then realised no a Jeep!
Oh how sweet, Sarah... And--that's a pretty snazzy jeep!!!!
Hugs,
Betsy

Your Jeep is the bomb! How cute is that?
Yes kiddies are funny about the things that they remember. You must havbe really clicked with him.
Oh I agree, keep that picture he looks very artistic. It would be nice framed. I'm getting some of my grandchildren's stuff framed. Who knows! In the meantime they're lovely colourful pictures that I like. Better than some of this dross you see in shops and it's art from the heart!
How sweet is that?! Your job has great perks.
Sarah, that was so cute of that little child! They remember certain things and I guess he thought you were pretty great to have done that!
Awwww! I wish adults could still act like they do when they were kids...the world would be a happier place.
Kids have longer memories than many adults! And bigger hearts!
PPC & SB - those last 2 comments are so true!
What a great little kid!

That's the kind of jeep I want someday! Wow, they remember everything. Very cute.
For a kindergartener to remember your kindness from 3 months ago is pretty darn phenomenal. You have made a truly beautiful, strong impression on this child. Good going, Sarah!
Oh that is too precious!
As the mother of Lady K, 5 year old, these kids have memories like steel traps! And the sweetness of sugar. That is just so cool!
That's just way cute!
That is so adorable! I love it when my 5 yr old comes home with his own artwork. He's so proud of his stuff and his excitment when he shows me what he made for mommy is just the best feeling. I have stuff like that all over my desk!
Nothing like the love of a child to brighten ones day! My neice Lizzy, who is 6, mails me "love letters" longing to see me next "Creesmas" (Christmas). I only see her once a year and these letters take a place of pride on my office wall!
You obviously have a big fan.
Your British lilt must be rubbing off on those Okie kids. I could just hear it in the phrase "she looked after my neck for me when it hurt."
