My World

Crystal Beach Park in Woodward, is a favourite spot throughout the year for picnics, cookouts, fishing, walking, tennis, golf or visiting the ducks. Brand new playground equipment for all ages is available, along with plenty of outdoor cooking areas and now they are building a new water park for fun in the summer heat.

On Sunday the Hubster and I decided to take advantage of the fabulous weather and have a picnic there ourselves. We sat at the side of the beautiful lake in about 78 degree sunshine and just admired the view, including those infamous Seagulls!

Crystal Beach is the site of some big local events every year, including the Elks Rodeo for over 70 years and Crystal Christmas, when they light the whole park with Christmas lights. It is a great leisure amenity for the whole town and enjoyed by all of us locally.

Nice pictures Sarah.

Pretty soon it will be warm enough here for a picnic. Until that time, I'll enjoy your photos.

I LOVE these photos!!! The first and last absolutely take my breath away. The blue, blue sky, the wisps of clouds, the wonderful skeleton trees. Absolutely fantastic!

Nice spot - my favourite kind to laze in, especially if it is as silent as it looks - I won't mind the seagulls at all though!

Ah, 78 degrees. I feel warmer just thinking about it. Looks like a wonderful park for an afternoon outing.

It looks like a lovely location for a picnic. We too have had weather in the 70's and 80's the past few days, despite the snow last weekend. Severe thunderstorms were forecast today - but didn't happen. Maybe tomorrow. :-)

How beautiful! There's nothing quite like an Oklahoma sky, is there?

We all love picnics and this place looks fantastic for a picnic. Your photos are amazing.
The only thing that baklava and galaktoboureko have the same is the pastry. The baklava has peanuts inside but the galaktoboureko has creme with semolina, eggs, milk, sugar and butter.

I'm starting to get the Oklahoma sky thing! Beautiful place to have a picnic! Life qualitish!

Nice place for a picnic! 78° sounds kinda warm for March. Don't you wish you could have picnicked in snow and below freezing temperatures? ;-)

Nice photos! However, I have to admit, although I might like to visit, I'd have a hard time living anywhere that flat!
