A lovely surprise!

Well I had a very busy day at work, what with 'Pre-K Pre-Enrollment' going on, but I also had a lovely surprise too.

This week is 'Secretary Week' in the USA, and this morning I received some lovely flowers and a 'thank you for all your hard work' note from my boss. I was really touched, as I have worked in some places over the years, where the word 'thank you' appears to be obsolete!!

The whole faculty also chipped in to get me a $40 gift voucher to Endless.com (go check it out), the best site online for buying shoes and handbags. I think this tells you all you need to know, about how well my colleagues know me!!

It's just very nice to be told you're appreciated once in a while.

Oh you lucky gal! Endless.com is the greatest. I haven't bought much from them but I love to browse.

We in the blogosphere appreciate you, too! Still waiting for National Bloggers day, though. Thanks for the great posts - keep up the good work.

I agree, it is very nice to be told thank you and that you are appreciated!! In my opinion, your school is lucky to have a caring and dedicated school secretary like you!

Very cool. Since I'm The Hubby's secretary or administrative assistant (so is B) he took us for pizza today! Yippee!

I think Americans are better at appreciating each other than the British. It's very easy to say "oh it's all very superficial" but I don't think it is actually. I think it's great.

Iota, I totally agree with you, Brit's have a lesson to learn in this respect.

Kathryn - Thank you and I love working with you ;-)
