My World

Friday was a trip to Oklahoma City, so we had an early start as we are about 3 hours drive away, it also mean't a long day as we got home around midnight.

After being signed off by my Endocrynoligist for a year, we did a spot of shopping at some of the big stores we don't have locally.

Then hopefully my penultimate trip ever to the USCIS (United States Immigration & Customs Service) building, to have my fingerprints taken for my Naturalization.

Lunch at a favourite store and restaurant.

We circled and crossed Downtown OKC.

Spotted a rare sight in Okieland - a roundabout!

Enjoyed the view of the State Capitol as we passed by.

Found tiles for our kitchen backsplash and ended the day in good company, with a fellow expat and his wife over a good dinner.

To see some great sights around the globe or join in the fun, go to My World Tuesday

Nice to combine a day of taking care of bussiness with fun.
I'm seeing "roundabouts" everywhere these days, in Arizona and while in South Africa.

Ticked off your 'to do' list and had some fun in the mix....
I have a special place in my heart for The Cracker Barrel, or would that be my belly ;)
Looks like a lovely city, I only got as far as Lawton, Oklahoma.
Very nice tiles, they look like the tumbled tile so popular nowadays.
Thanks for sharing your day, I enjoyed having a little look-see of where you hang your hat.

Ah, I'm so familiar with that particular USCIS office, unfortunately! Nice to see some OKC. We used to live very close to the St Anthony's roundabout and it always amused me how no Americans could navigate it!

What a fun day, Sarah! Good to combine fun with business -- not to mention a little shopping and I really like the kitchen tile! Love your photos as always! Have a great week!

I love that round-about! Plus did you know there is an Irish pub on that corner? McNellie's. (Wait a minute, is there a corner at a round-about?) We should have thought about meeting THERE! Argh! Great to see you both, maybe we can get out your way this summer.

Looks like you all had a wonderful time in Oky City, Sarah.... I've never been there---but it looks like a beautiful city.

Don't you just love Cracker Barrel???? We never get tired of that restaurant---and it's George's parents favorite place to eat. They always get Chicken Fried Chicken... ha ha

Hugs,
Betsy
