Oh wondermous!

Now I have to be snake vigilant even when I shop!

"Rattlesnake bites shopper - A 43-year-old man was hospitalized after he was bitten by a pygmy rattlesnake at a Florida Lowe's store. Similar incidents have been reported in the last year at a Lowe's in Oklahoma and a Wal-Mart in Jacksonville, Fla." (source msn.com)

I never had to worry about this at B&Q in Watford!

Don't tell me a little snake is going to scare you away and running back to the UK. I mean, what are the chances?

Ugh snakes freak me out. There's a black snake lives near my front door and even though he's not poisonous, I hate it!

Gaelyn! What were the chances of me finding one in a cupboard at home this year?! I rest my case lol!

Saffy - are you nuts! You remind me of my mum who kept a big black soider in her hallway once, she talked like it was almost a pet!

Rattlesnake? Yikes! Thank goodness we don't have any snakes in Hawaii... so far.

Would you believe me if I said we had a grass snake at the B&Q in Grantham? Nah, didn't think you would.

We shop at those stores regularly. Now I'll be a nervous wreck every time I go in one of them!

Well they found a black widow spider here in a truck that had been imported from the USA! Why don't they spray them before they import them! YUK!

I'm always careful when I'm buying bananas in a shop now just in case anything nasty stowed away in the box.

Holey carpe! We only have owls and sparrows in ours and I really hope it stays that way.

You know when you have a western diamondback rattlesnake on your porch in Tucson, four firefighters usually come to your rescue and remove the critter. Big and strong Fightfighters :) So they do have their perks!

Okay folks, we've got to get a different perspective on this. Okieland has a yearly rattlesnake round-up, I think in the southwest quadrant of the state. then they have a bar-b-que. I've heard it tastes like chicken....do does gator tail (Florida) and frog legs. DrumMajor

Hey Drum Major, the Rattlesnake round-ups are statewide as far as I know. There is one near us and others just south of us, that I know of.

Sarah, if I could catch the horrid think, I would kill it, but it's one of those black racers and it moves like lightening. If i knew of any poison just for snakes, i'd use it, but I don't want my dog or cat to eat it....
