This afternoon I decided it was time to tidy up my handbag shelf and take them all down, empty them of anything, then re-stack them.
Now as you can see I have a few handbags (purses), in fact by a happy and total coincidence I have 41 and am 41 years young!! How perfect is that ladies ;-)
So I thought whilst I was tidying (Hubster - please note I do not mention clearing out) I would photograph my collection for you to see. This then led to another idea and one I am going to run with, as most of these bags have a story, particular purpose or I just love them to death because they're gorgeous.
So from tomorrow for 41 days I will have a 'Handbag of the Day' featurette, with a close-up piccie of each one and why I love it and need it. Not that I feel the need to justify you understand, but it will just be a fun thing to do.
I am also going to come up with a name that suits each bag and explain why....I would love you to join in.
Btw....whilst emptying the bags I found the following:
Approx' 1/2 box of Kleenex, 2 eyeshadow brushes, 2 glass cleaning cloths, Checkbook holder, 3 Biofreeze Gel sachets, 4 GasX strips, 2 combs, 1 toothbrush, 2 eyeshadows, 2007 diary, 2 pony bands, 1 pack sweeteners, 2 hairclips, 1 pr earrings, 1 new pr earrings (I forgot about), 1 ring, 1 pr winter gloves, 1 hairbrush, 2 mirrors, 8 packs of mini Kleenex, 2 flossers, 5 types of zero cal' candies, 1 face mister, 2 bottles painkillers, 1 lipbalm, 4 packs breath strips, 3 church service handouts, 3 school schedules, 19 tampax (won't be buying those for awhile!), 3 contact lens cases, 15 lipsticks/glosses, 18 pens (no wonder we have none in the house!), 6 nail files, 1 stain remover pen, 4 anti-bacterial handwashes, Weightwatchers calculator, 4 mascara's, 1 blemish stick, 2 nail balms, 1 foundation.
Quite a haul...have you cleaned out your bags recently?!

I love all of your purses, especially the red straw one in the back row. I'm looking forward to your stories.
You've reminded me, I really need to clean out my closet!
Thanks Lynne...I think this may just have turned into spring cleaning week for me. Because I can't fit those 15 lipsticks and glooses all in my drawer!!
What a great idea! I love it. I will be following the Saga des Sacs! There are a few I am particularily eager to hear the story behind. And, I love the burgundy alligator handbag in the back row! Classic!
I have some names for you to use for the purses...........like useless, too many, overkill, ridiculous.........shall I go on Sweetie.........
Yada Yada Yada dear :-)
This will be fun!!
I love the handbag of the day idea, look forward to it! I'm impressed with all you found inside them..that's quite a stash of stuff!!
Love the new word REVISE. I had no idea it meant to study.
I think it's sad about all those dogs next door. BUT, I think before contacting the city or authorities, someone should approach her first, give her a warning and a chance to change the way she's handling things. It's seem like the right thing to do, in my opinion.
Rhea - my neighbour has been approached twice before by the people closest to her. Then she had a previous letter from the city and got rid of the dogs for awhile, but things have gone downhill yet again sadly.
If your neighbor has been approached twice and had a letter from the city before, then that's enough warning, I agree! Time for more serious action. How sad. :o)
What?? No money???
Wahhh!
What a collection!!!
Tammy - I found 12c LOL! No any notes are found under the bed where Cal-Jo hides them, I found $3 once! :-)
You are not justifying, you are sharing the love. = ) I am now looking forward even more to the next 41 days.
Would you judge me if I said i clean out my bag every night!! I think it's my OCD thing!
Loving the bag posts.
