My Mum is coming to stay....

I got a call yesterday from my mum in England to say she had decided to come for a visit in July :-)

The last time we saw each other was April '07 when she was visiting, but it was just after I was diagnosed with Graves Disease and so she spent most of her visit looking after me as I was pretty sick. She is flying in for just over 3 weeks from July 1st-26th and will experience her first Independence Day in the USA, amongst other things.

I am very excited, lots of things have changed around here since her last visit - the yard, my car and the size of my butt! Now I need to start thinking about what I need her to bring for me that's not illegal - like British Sausages! ;-)

Above is a piccie of us taken about 2 years ago at Will Rogers Airport in OKC, as she was heading home. Happy, Happy, Happy!

Oh, Sarah, you must be so excited!! I know I would be. I'm sure you will have a good size list of things for your mom to bring too. LOL. I don't know what I would do if my mom was so far away. I am excited for you.

Great news! I too am excited for you.

Too bad she couldn't have been here yesterday so she could experience the "fun" of tornadoes in Oklahoma!

Now I'm wondering when would be the best time for our family to come out a visit.

P.S. BTW, as I'm writing this, I'm watching the F1 race. Kinda messy driving conditions this morning.

Brad - yep it's a messy race ok!

As to visiting June apart from the w/end of 14th or after July 26th would be best, if that will work for you guys? We still want to see you :-)

How wonderful! Your mum looks like a very friendly lady. I am so excited for you. By the way, I meant to comment on the car, it is a fine car. You are going to enjoy that ride I am sure.

When is the State Fair? I've heard the State Fair is great here. If it is while she is here, that could be a real USA experience for her.

Don't forget the Galaxy Choclolate! :~)

I guess you're joking about the sausages, 'cos I'm sure you know bringing meat products into the country is illegal.

I hope you and your mum have a real blast.

That's great your Mother can come out! mine can't and hasn't since 1992. Every time she came out she got terribly ill and almost died. She gets thrombosis. So, as it is, my kids have only seen their Grannie twice and my oldest is now 16!! Very sad really and I only see her about every 4 years as its so darn expensive. I'm glad I got to go recently --even if she was ill!!!

Well, anyway have a marvelous time. Your mum looks so young!
