My end of July resolutions!

Well I have let a few things slide over the past 2 months, what with going back to full-time work, having my mum here for about a month, too many social events and too little time!

So here are my absolute 'must do' resolutions to get my life back in order before totally anarchy takes over...and also because in case you haven't already realised this about me, I am a total perfectionist and control freak!

  • Get back on Weightwatchers before I undo it all!
  • Quit eating out and start cooking
  • In bed by 10pm, lights out by 11pm latest
  • Start reading again for pleasure
  • Get my naturally lazy rear-end back on my treadmill
  • Get my home paperwork in order and keep it that way
  • Make time to do some fictional writing
  • Learn and utilise Photoshop more
  • Start taking my vitamins daily again
  • Work harder on understanding and controlling my Graves Disease through whole health mind and body techniques, diet and supplementation
  • Really learn to meditate and do it regularly

Just a few things to keep me busy then!

Sounds like a good idea... and a good suggestion. Maybe I should do that too! Borrowing from your list, I would list the following on my resolution list:

• Get back on Weightwatchers before I undo it all! (Well, actually, I would have to actually START Weight Watchers to get back on it...)
• Quit eating out and start cooking
• In bed by 10pm, lights out by 11pm latest
• Get my naturally lazy rear-end back on my treadmill
• Start taking my vitamins daily again
• Really learn to meditate and do it regularly

I'm pretty sure there is A LOT of other things I could add to the list, but you've given me a good start

I have no doubt, you can achieve all of those. Being a "perfectionist" and "control freak", I am guessing you might fall in the "all or nothing" category of how people approach challenge. Don't be hard on yourself, be forgiving, flexible and patient. And, baby steps. Start somewhere, get that resolution under control, then add the next one, or two more that are a little less challenging. My personal game plan would (has) involve beginning with getting to bed on time. Good rest will make everything else easier.

That is a great list, resembles mine over the years. You will get all of this under control, I just know it. I am looking forward to hearing of your progress.

Amen sistah and I'm needing to adopt that list myself. Today is the day to get started.

Well I did read, but into the very early hours and I started my day with a cinnamon roll - aaah well my plan was actually to start on this no later than Wednesday! LOL

It sounds like you're going to be busy, Sarah.

I'm such a procrastinator that I'd never get around to the writing the list, never mind keeping the resolutions.

Good luck with yours.
