An 80's 'new wave' blast from the past!

Yep I was a Duran'ie in 1984, one of the screaming hoardes of girls. I was a Simon Le Bon and John Taylor fan and this was one of my faves of theirs. I just love wasting time trwling U-Tube for these old pop videos from my teens!

I'm a bit older - it was the Eagles, Doobie Brothers, Beatles, well too many to list, I guess. It was an incredible age of music. And many of the greats came out of England.

I was a tween when Duran Duran hit the scene, but I remember them. My friend's older sister loooooooved them and always had them playing when I was at their house. I do have many of their songs on my ipod now though. Reflex is one of my favorites.

I was a big sheet music fan !

Well ok then, the 60's I guess but quite liked DD in their early days. Great video productions too.

But one day of yard work does not allow you to surf YouTube today, girl. Get out there and mow something.

Ah, the music, the hair, the makeup, the wondering if Nick Rhodes was male or female...

Thanks for the memories!

Thanks for the blast from the 80's. My kids were little then and I remember Megan jammin' out to Duran, Duran. Of course, she was in a baby seat, but could she swing her legs to the beat of the music!!

My son just called to see how I was and said he was going to send me some music to widen my musical taste so I could get past Josh Groban. I'm afraid Duran Duran is after my time. Sigh... Sad but true.

This is one of the first Duran Duran songs I knew about ... my early MTV days. I have a post in my head about those days that I will get put together soon. I'm a Simon fan myself and, if I recall correctly, we even share a bday! Check your FB inbox please!

Braja! Too good, she had to post it twice ;)

This is amazing that we are on the same page today! I used to love The Reflex, and felt Duran Duran were very good musicians, definitely...

John Taylor still part-owns a bar in Whitley Bay, I think... I used to think I might bump into them there - but never did! :(

Andy Taylor - Andy Taylor! Born and brought up in Cullercoats - Rio's no longer his bar, apparently... Now he's living, I think, and recording in Ibiza - Who can blame him?! x

Oh, that was a lovely trip back to my youth. Er, actually my early 20's. Thanks!
